Jake & Rob Attend Conference in Paris
Last weekend our Co-Founders (Jake & Rob) attended the Advantage Latitude conference in Paris, hosted by Uniworld Boutique River Cruise. This weekend was a great chance for Jake & Rob to network with other travel professionals, build relationship with cruise suppliers as well as getting to learn more about the big opportunities in the cruise market!
After arriving in style in Business Premier on Eurostar, Day One consisted of training sessions about how big an opportunity cruise holidays will be in 2024 with over 300 ships sailing and more customers than ever choosing to see the world via a cruise. It is predicted that 31.5 million people will take a cruise this year which is an increase of 8 million passengers compared to 4 years ago.
Jake & Rob also got a chance to take a tour of the Joie De Vivre, seeing the different types of cabins, facilities and entertainment venues. Jake was blown away at the quality of food onboard saying "The food was just fantastic, there was something for everyone and it tasted incredible!" Rob also said "He was now converted to a cruise fan" after never experiencing one before.
Day Two was a day full of training from the various cruise partners that were onboard. We got to hear from Celebrity, Explora, Gold Medal, Uniworld and many more! This helped increase Jake & Robs knowledge on the many cruise suppliers out there in order to support franchise owners with any enquiries that they may get from customers. They also heard from some social media experts about how best to get engagement using Instagram and Reels which was priceless information which will help form our future social media training in the years to come.
Day Three was all about seeing the sites of Paris, getting a chance to make the most of the city. Jake headed off on a bus tour, while Rob took to the streets of Paris on foot on a walking tour. This was a great opportunity to spend some time experiencing Paris as a tourist, learning about the history and culture of the city!
